Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Programming

I have been back from the bush for a week and a half now, and life is finally getting normal again. Last weekend, I was still tired from being up north and decided to just have a lazy weekend. But today, I woke up, ready to rock and get some things done around the house.

Things got so crazy with wedding planning, that our garden became a jungle. We had been working on clear it out, but we were forced to stop working on it, and then the overgrowth took it over. My goal today was to start clearing out a lot of the weeds that grew back. Good times.

So Heather and I spent hours pulling and digging up roots and cleared a lot of crap that needed to be done. Here's one side of the path before...
And that side after...
There's still some growth, but the path is now walkable, and our peach tree (center-right) is no longer covered by massive weeds. Here's the other side before...
...and after. It's really nice to have a path to walk around now. We got a little help with the weeding from Togi, who seemed to enjoy walking around with his piece of a sunflower that had come unrooted.
The little guy was exhausted after all of our work...
But as soon as he saw the camera, he perked up to be camera ready. Heather's trained him well - what a pro! Also, we're working on getting our grapes to grow over our deck lattice. We're pretty excited to see that our grapes are growing pretty quickly.
Really, I just wanted to post a blog to show cute pictures of Togi. This seemed like a good excuse.
